It is more beneficial for troubleshooting rather than learning. I would recommend Dr. Lewis book Brewing. ISBN 978-0306472749. It does not get bogged down with a lot of information that you probably would not use. Share Report Save level 1 6 years ago Yes, I would recommend it. I know of no other book that has the sheer amount of details that Kunze has. There are errors, here and there, but its still in my opinion the greatest book you can buy. I would also recommend the EBC Manuals of Good Practice, but they are even more expensive. We used it as our primary source book when I went to diploma brewer school. VLB looks cheaper on paper but their tax and crazy shipping costs take it through the roof. Countless times I have referenced it. Like others have said, its more useful as a reference than a straight read. Lewiss Brewing is a better book Id youre looking for something to read all the way.
